About Moviesandbox

Moviesandbox is an Open-Source graphical filmmaking tool in progress, formerly developed for the Unreal Tournament engine and now based on C++ and OpenGL.

It allows you to easily create your own characters, sets and poses and direct them in the way you imagine. It is also an open project, which means that all the code and tools are free and open for people to change or add to, and, where possible, licensed under the lesser GPL. Development started in early 2006.

Laptop malfunction deleted eMails

Due to some Laptop mailfunction a couple of days ago, some eMails have been lost. In case you sent any eMails within the last two weeks, please send them again.
Moviesandbox development is interrupted a bit as i try to sort through all the backup files. No progress has been lost though, but the next update might take another weekend.
Sorry about that.

on the bright side of things, i decided to include a new way of positioning the camera and keyframes in the next release according to some very useful tips by Polygonal from the wiki. Also, the VoxelEditor will hopefully be useable and i'll provide some tutorials, including Non-Photorealistic rendering.

hotfix v1331Beta

Saturday, August 12, 2006

i released a hotfix for the last version that adresses the issue of not getting into Moviesandbox.
Please update your version to v1331Beta. Note that the background image still says v1330, as i haven't changed that.
As always, you find the patch on the Moviesandbox download page.

v1330 broken

Polygonal reports that there is a problem with 1330Beta's Gametype and you don't get into MSB at all.
I'll fix this over the weekend and also restructure some of the voxeleditor.
Sorry for this...
