camera shortcuts explained



I updated the Basic Cameras Tutorial on this but i thought I'd mention it anyway:

The "K" key now creates a Camera at the current View Location. This is obviously convenient if you found a nice spot while flying around.
In addition to that, you can now "possess" cameras by clicking on the "possess" property. You then basically control the camera with your movement keys just like in Flying mode.
Just click again to "release" the camera.

Below is a screenshot of some content i am working on that will be freely available with the next update. It makes use of Voxelshading and Depth of Field and i hope it gives a vague idea of where we're heading.

new version 1335Beta out now!

Sorry for the long delay in this. Version 1335 now sports some added functionality in the camera departement, a (finally) working and robust (albeit simple) tweening system and rudimentary support for Voxelshader (of which i implemented one for now, more to follow).
Be aware that Voxelshaders are performance intensive! You can use them in the VoxelEditor, though it makes a lot more sense to first paint your characters and then convert them to the Voxelshader after, using the "BlocksToBrushes" console command.
Shader functionality is still in its infancy, but i thought i'd give you an idea of what's to come.

The most changes have been made to the Voxeleditor though. It's still a construction site, but i hope i can add a first VoxelEd tutorial soon.
